One Touch can opener is crappy

I bought a one touch can opener about two months ago. My other electric can opener had died and I thought - this is small, it's cool and it will fit in my drawer. The other one was on the counter and had to be plugged in. This uses two AA batteries.

The problem is that it too me forever to get it to work the first time. It's not exactly as simple as one touch and a big black button being the only thing you can touch would make it seem.

You have to get it on the can just so. Make sure the can is triggering a mechanism on the bottom. Make sure the blade is in the right place relative to the can then, and only then will the button do anything at all. Most of the time you touch it it does nothing.

I was able to open a total of 3 cans with it. And that was with a brand new set of batteries.  The third can got stuck and it was a hassle to get off because unlike other can openers, this one cuts below the rim on the side of the can, not on the top.

Long story short, it doesn't work at all now. I've tried to get it to work a few more times, but no such luck.  It's a piece of crap that wasn't worth the packaging it came in. I normally don't spend much of my time on products that don't work, but this was above and beyond bad and so I took time out of my Saturday to write this review. That's how bad this thing is.

If you are tempted, don't be. Get a manual. They are way more reliable.
