Gel vs. Powder

For years now I have been using dishwasher gel in my dishwasher. Never thought anything of it. Seemed easy and cleaner to use.  The quality of the washing my dishwasher was doing we steadily declining, but given that my dishwasher is over 10 yrs old, I figured, it's just an old dishwasher.  I probably just need to get a new one.

Then, my relatives came to visit and someone bought dishwasher powder packs - you know the type, comes in a dissolvable package, just the right amount for your dishwasher with a little jetclean thrown in for good measure.

Well, after using that at home for just 2 weeks, It's like I have a brand new dishwasher again. The dishes are coming clean, the machine is doing a better job and I no longer think I need a new dishwasher anymore. Pretty happy with the one I have. Granted, it would be nice if it was quieter.

I'm writing this post to let you know if you are experiencing the same thing as I was, change your detergent and use the powder stuff. We aren't going back to gel because the difference in the quality of the wash is stunning! Very noticable
